*SNOW* DAY!*

I'm enjoying the aroma of scrambled eggs, sausage, and biscuits as I watch the snow melt. Wow, we actually had a WHITE Christmas!!! I don't think I've ever seen the snow fall on Christmas day. It's always before or after not ON CHRISTMAS!!

 I love that feeling you get when you see the snow fall; it's like the inner child in you jumps for joy and gets super excited! :) Then, once you get all bundled up and walk out into the frozen bliss it's such a great feeling of happiness to make snow angels, snowmen, snow cream, or have a snowball fight. I can always remember each time it snows because it rarely does here in Georgia. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful white winter wonderland!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

As I sit and think about what a wonderful Christmas day I've had with my family, and look out the window to a beautiful yard covered in the whitest snow you could imagine, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! May each and everyone feel the Love of God this holiday season, and remember the reason for the season!!! I'm so thankful for a savior, comforter, peace giver, King and redeemer! JESUS CHRIST is the greatest gift anyone could ever give or receive! Emanuel "God with us"!!

Matthew 1:20-21 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

"If you're sad and lonely, go on, look for the one and only." - Rahul Thadani

"Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they just need to run free till they find someone just as wild to run with them." - 'Fun' in the City
My current relationship status is single. Mostly by my choice, but I'm waiting for the right one. It's hard sometimes to be alone. To not have someone to snuggle with or tell how your day was. I'm thankful that I have a big family and so it's not as bad as it could be, I guess. During the holiday season it's particularly hard to be alone because you see all of these couples sharing moments together. And I do wish I had a guy to do all of that with. BUT I do have Jesus Christ!!! He is my everything!! He sticks closer than a brother, and in his time he will send the perfect guy along. One that he created just for me, and I was for him. So if you are alone and feeling a bit down, just remember that there IS someone out there just for YOU! No matter what God will send you that someone. A lot of times people get impatient and get involved in relationships too soon. They become infatuated with the other person and the idea of being with them. Eventually all of the infatuation wears off and they realize that they're in a mess. That's why it's important not to go with feelings all the time, but listen to that voice inside. It will tell you what to do, if you're willing to listen. A teacher I had in high school once said, "For every jar there is a lid". This statement stuck with me through the years. So for every person there's another person out there for them. It might take time to find the "perfect fit" but that doesn't mean that they're not out there. I'm trusting that in the right time in my life I'll find that special someone .  Living the single life for now, Stevie

Life Goes On!!!

Life is full of ups and downs. It's like we're on this bus called life and there are bumpy and paved roads. You never know which road life will take you down. But, rest assured, having God as the driver of this bus we can make it through anything. We just have to give our ticket to him and trust that he knows the way.

No matter what, life does and will go on. The sun doesn't stop shining neither does the earth stop spinning. It keeps on, keeping on regardless of what happened the day before or last year. The main thing is to give our life over to God and let him take control of all the details. He will lead and guide us in to all truth. He will direct our paths! His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. He is the light! :) So remember that King Jesus has it all mapped out! :)

Death is a Part of Life.

In life we have to encounter death. It's not something that is easy by any means, but it's the inevitable. We are all going to face death at some time in our life. But we shouldn't fear death, especially if we are a christian. We know that we are saved from hell and there isn't any pain or sorrow once we get to heaven. Heaven will be a beautiful place full of love, light, and glory from our heavenly Father. Everybody wants to go to heaven but no body wants to die. Isn't that so true! Trust me the thought of it is kind of eerie, but I take comfort in the word of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
 Revelations 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
  3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Like the four seasons of the year, our life has different seasons. There's spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In autumn the leaves begin to fall off the trees and plants begin to die. Then, winter sets in and it's so cold and things look like they'll never come back to life. But before you know it here comes lovely spring and things begin to thaw and new life springs forth. After spring, there's summer and things are thriving. Beautiful blooms and warm, sunshiny days are what it has to offer. Then it starts all over again. In our lives we may have to say goodbye to a loved one, but it's only for a short time.It's hard because we miss them, and we may not understand why they've passed on. But we can be comforted by knowing that God knows what He's doing and has all the answers. And we don't have to know why, but trust that everything works out to our good. We will see them once again in heaven, if  we make heaven our home.

Then they are births,and it's so sweet to see a brand new little life. To think about how they have their whole life ahead of them. How they will encounter all kinds of firsts. :)

Smile it's Contagious :)

When we have a bad day it's so hard to stay positive. But the key to getting through a bad day is to stay positive, and things will eventually start looking up. ha ha! That sounds kind of contradictory doesn't it, but it's true. God has given us his word and it is very encouraging and positive. I like to read the book of Psalms when I'm feeling down. It uplifts my spirit and I feel so much better about things. I love how God sees all our problems and he knows EXACTLY how we feel even when no one else does. So if you are having a bad day, get in the book of Psalms and begin to think of the blessings in your life. I guarantee you'll feel better! Don't let a bad day affect your future! Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

F-A-I-T-H all we need is a little bit of FAITH!!!

Faith is believing beyond a shadow of a doubt that something is or will be.

Hebrews 11:1
      Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Luke 17:6
      And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

It's so important to have faith in God that he can and will do what we ask him according to his will. If we seek him and his will for our life and put our trust in him, he will give us the desire of our hearts. He knows what we need even before we ask him, but he wants us to trust and believe in him that he will supply our every need. He wants us to ask him and put our faith in him. He has given a measure of faith unto all men. It's up to us if we let that faith grow and become strong. If we never use the measure that has been given to us then our faith can not grow. But if we pray and put our faith in God, that he hears us when we pray then our faith will grow and grow.
 Romans 12:3
        ...according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
2Corinthians 5:7
       For we walk by faith, not by sight:
Mark 11:22
       And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have FAITH IN GOD

Not only must we have faith, we also must put works with our faith. For example we believe that a lamp will work and shine out a light  (faith), but we must turn the lamp on (works) in order for it to put out light.
James 2:14
        What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save  him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone

It is imperative to put works with our faith! If we will have faith and put works with our faith then God WILL move for us. It's his desire to bless us, but he wants us to seek his will for our life.

It's a NEW day!

Don't you just love how a new day is so brand new. It's like a fresh start every day.

2Corinthians 6:2
For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.

Isn't that great that today is the day of salvation. I just love that, how God gives us a new beginning every day. He is so good to us and blesses us beyond measure! So cherish each day and if you had a bad day yesterday today is a new day! It doesn't have to be like yesterday or the day before that. It's up to you to make it a better day. To have a positive outlook and choose to see the cup 1/2 full. Even though things may not be going so great, stepping back and looking at the positive is a good way to see the good in things. There's a saying that goes something like this "If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side". If you feel like you're in a rut keeping going you'll eventually find the lily in the valley, or the light at the end of the tunnel. There is hope and it will get better. My mom always says "This too shall pass". It won't be always feel like you're in a rut or down. Remember that God give us His word and we can be encouraged when we read it.
Psalms 30:5

For his anger [endureth but] a moment; in his favour [is] life: WEEPING MAY ENDURE for a night, but joy [cometh] in the morning.

Life is full of ups and downs. We never know what to expect, but with God's strength we can make it through anything. I recently went through a tough time in my life, and I thought I couldn't make it but God helped me become strong and He brought me through. I can't thank Him enough for how he has moved for me at different times in my life. So whatever happened yesterday it's in the past and today is a new day full of new opportunities. Make it count, Stevie

Welcome to my life!

Hi y'all! I want to welcome you to my life. This blog will be about random things that I experience in my life day to day. First off I want to let you know that I'm a born again christian! I'm very proud to express my faith, and if you have any questions I'd love to answer them. Jesus Christ is my Savior and I couldn't give Him enough praise and thanks for what He has done for me. I'm a single 24 year old woman who lives in Georgia. I work as a stock associate at American Eagle Outfitters. I really enjoy what I do. I'm considering going back to school in the near future. Random things and hugs, Stevie
